I have a PowerBook 1400 CD-ROM module (12x) that isn't working: put in a CD, it blinks a few times but nothing more happens. I discovered a possible fix, at:
<http://mywebpages.comcast.net/gionpeters/hhhh/pb1400.htm>
(Scroll down to "Examination and Repair of a CD ROM Module (12x)" near bottom of page.)
I've been trying the suggested adjustment, and gotten the drive to spin up a few times (at various adjustment points), but never to mount a CD. Anyone have any further suggestions?
