I'd tend to agree, i.e., that being able to insert the USB card would
usually mean that the cage is cardbus enabled.
The crashes point more to system and software problems.
What OS are you running?
Do you have all USB extensions?
How's your Energy Saver cp set? IIRC, you have to disable a few of the
options to prevent crashes with USB cards: anyone recall exactly which?
