I had a constant green light on my pb 1400 after changing the CPU to a sonnet upgrade; the instructions with the chip predicted it in some cases and recommended taping down the on/ off switch in the on position overnight, (with the battery NOT installed), or as long as it took for the green light to go off. It took about 24 hours. Then, re-plugged the power supply, installed the battery, and sure enough, back to normal... Don't know if this situation correlates with yours, as the conditions prior were different, but they both involve the dreaded constant green light...
