Haven't I seen a "green light of death" mentioned in relation to older Powerbooks? My
1400 is occasionally showing its power light even with AC unplugged and battery
removed. If I hit the "power reset" button on the back next to the ports (thanks to
the list for having that in a past thread), the light goes out. Sometimes it'll come
right back on after I quit hitting the reset button for a few seconds (up to 30).
When I get things back, the contrast on my screen is usually very dark (and won't go
above about 10% when I try and up it) until I reboot fully.

What's going on? Is there an internal battery somewhere? Is my completely dead
battery contributing somehow?

And who did the Buy It Now on the 333 MHz G3 upgrade for $130 or so on eBay,
daggummit?!! ;^) Been using the 1400 a decent amount, and it's just plain impossible
to surf with the 117 MHz chip short of WannaBe and MacLynx.
