Same for my Moto V120e, although I cannot get the DE-9 to Mini-DIN 8 adapter to work for the life of me.
The V120e says something about "no carrier" after it, apparently, sucessfully dials the number.
The connection kit I bought was the genuine Moto one, and the CD does install on my PC, and the phone is recognized there ... using the precise DE-9 cable which won't work on my 5300.
I use a Palm adapter cable to connect the Motorola data cable to a Mac (including a 5300). I did try a different cable once (I think from a printer) and it did not work.
