Kaleidoscope (shareware) allows an older OS to display complete pictures. It can be downloaded at: http://download.com.com/ Search "kaleidoscope" .

kaleidoscope uses a lot of processor and memory - it will significantly slow down your mac, there is another application that just puts a pic on the desktop and that doesnt alter the menucolour etc, and uses up the same amount of ram as the desktop pic is big and no more. But I can not for the life of me remember its name right now - sigh - and I put old the old diskettes in the attic. Anyone ? It was both ppc and 68 k and the name was not at all to do with desktop pics or anything similair,
