I'm sorry tell you, but it is not, nor ever likely to be, a possibility. USB
requires 32 bit PCMCIA port, 1400's have only 16 bit PCMCIA ports. That's
all there is, no help for it at all. It's been discussed with experts here
and elsewhere, perhaps a hundred times. Give up on that idea.

If your camera has only a USB port and no memory card slot, you're out of
luck. Your best bet if you want to use your 1400 is to buy a camera with a
card slot (cards are available from 16 mb all the way to 1 g. The average is
64 mb I think; you can find them at discount prices all over the internet or
in any computer store). The larger the capacity, the more pictures you can
hold at higher resolutions. I use a 128 mb CF card.

Then you get a card reader/adapter that plugs into your other PC card slot
on the 1400. You just pull out the card from the camera, slap it into the
card reader, transfer your pictures, erase the card, pull it out and stick
it back in the camera and go for another set of pictures.

HTH,
Ken N.
