Well, there are routers that have a modem "back up" port. Don't know if 
there are wireless routers that have a modem port. 

If you can find such a router, then you would need PC card wireless for 
the 'Books, and you could get a wireless PCI card for the 6400 and 
"server" all from the wireless router.

Personally, I see no advantage to adding the 6400 to a wireless router 
connected through a modem, since the 6400 already has a 56k modem 
connection. It is unlikely that you would gain any speed through the 
router (most likely you would slow it down instead).

If more that one of the machines is expected to be "on-line" to the WWW 
at time, I would expect the service to all to be VERY slow. It is an 
interesting project, but...
