Difference Duo Dock II and Plus?

Hi.  I am considering a duo dock for my 2300c.  I used to have a 
Plus, but the power supply came down with the dreadful "tick of 
death", as well my first dock, the original Duo Dock.  And since 256 
Colors on a minidock just doesn't cut it with me (might as well use 
the color LCD screen!) I am considering a duo dock but I will be 
taking the risk of another "tick of death".  Was there a model of Duo 
Dock that didn't have the tick of death?  And also, What's the 
difference between docks II and Plus?  Thanx, all!
