I concur; there are more GPS Mapping options for the Newton Messagepad than for MacOS. 
 Uploading/downloading waypoints via serial can happen on any platform with a serial 
port though, with a little work.

Perhaps look at stuff to run under VPC but scrolling maps around is a little 
intensive; but the Newton 2100 can do it... a G3 1400 emulating Win98 should.  Not 
sure about 3400's or lower.
