TIA, Heather > (My other PBs include: a 1400c (G3 333), a 190cs, 2 190s, a Duo 230, a 170 > and a 100) Hello Heather, Just a thought: presuming that you are connecting your external SCSI CD drive via an HD-30 adapter, do you know for sure that this adapter is known-to-be-good? Also, on the back of the CD drive itself, the following pins should be jumpered: "Parity" - "Term Power" - and 0 and 1 (totalling "3" in binary for your SCSI ID; but you knew that ;-) sometimes I have had trouble with a CD drive only to discover that the term power jumper simply fell off - it's just a thought. Best regards, Dana
