I have read with interest your "longish" post to the PowerBooks List, a hardware discussion list for Pre-G3 PowerBooks, which your WallStreet is not. To the extent I understand your narrative of the non-hardware problem, there seems to be a simple solution. Have you considered a clean installation of OS 9.1 or 9.2, either of which includes all Apple Language Kits?
