Still, I'm not able to determine what brand of modem is inside the machine. I've recently purchased the book and replaced the pre-existing OS without backing it up (can one be more stupid???). My Global Village drivers won't install, as the machine says there's not a Global Villege modem inside. Is there any way (apart from taking the thing apart) to know what modem is there inside and get the appropriate drivers?? And yes, there's a modem, the port is there, thanks for previous suggestions. Running OS 7.5.5.
