I've used my 520c with ethernet on several different servers. Sometimes I
have to choose ethernet 3 or 4 times in Appletalk before it "takes."
Don't forget to make sure you have TCP/IP set up and set to your ethernet
connection too--can't tell you how often I boot up and keep checking
connections before I remember to see if the settings are correct in both
Appletalk and the TCP/IP control panel.  :)

I'm using a standard cat 5 cable I picked up at an electronics store--the
only time I've had to use a crossover cable is when I'm hooking up
mac-to-mac.
