Re: 1400 RAM Question

I have actually been running 9.1; however 9.1 came with starting out on 
9.0.4 then upgrading to 9.1.  As I recall the upgrade lacks a few 
things the 9.1 CD has.  What?  That I do not know, but it was a way 
that allowed Apple to keep the download size to a minimum for such a 
huge "free" upgrade.

I have recently gotten my hands on a 9.1 CD, so i will be doing a full 
format and reinstall.  While I am at it, might as well do a zero all 
data since 750MB shouldn't take that long.  I have not given up hope 
just yet, but if it does appear to be a logic board problem, I can grab 
a 133 or 166 one off ebay for <$50.

I'll give the results once i am done with the reinstall.

Also, I tried 8.6, but it kept driving me crazy when I hit 
Shift-Apple-Delete, and the trash wouldn't empty and I would remember I 
am not dealing with 9.1.  Petty?  Maybe, but it kept me from 
experimenting much more with 8.6.

How many people are able to get a 1400 with an upgrade to work with

Sonnet extension?  What logic board do you have, what upgrade variety
do you have, how much RAM, what OS are you running, and lastly, what
version of the extension.  I have 1.4.5, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, and 2.0.3, and
have tried all with no success.
This is probably not a hardware issue but a sw/OS issue.  I believe I 
recall
that system 8.5 - 6 is highly incompatible.  Jump up to 9.1 or down to 
8.1
