Don't bother thinking too hard about SCSI Manager 4.3. It's built into the ROM of the Mac, so if your Mac doesn't have it, your Mac doesn't have it. You can't upgrade via software to SCSI Manager 4.3.

The 190/5300 and 1400 do not have SCSI Manager 4.3.

Toast 3.5, IIRC, doesn't care about SCSI Manager much. It shipped with my LaCie drive about 6 years ago. And I'm pretty sure I've used it on my 5300 before...
