It doesn't support OS X in any form, doesn't have OpenFirmware
Well, actually... Any PCI-based Mac has OpenFirmware. Hold down Apple-Option-O-F at startup to see a nice OF command line. At least, I think that will work - some of the older PCI Macs redirected the command line to the serial port, and I don't know if the 3400c/Kanga are in that category. You _might_ just see a blank screen that requires a reboot to boot up properly.... The New World Macs have a fuller implementation of OF, though.
Also, OS X can be installed on the 3400c/Kanga with the use of XPostFacto. But it's not supported, you are absolutely right!
In short, if you need help with a Kanga, you're far more likely to get help from a 3400-savvy crowd than from the WallStreet and newer group
I agree! I think just about everyone else here does, too. Although the Kanga is technically "one-off" for this list, it really fits in here better than the G-Books list.
Dan, Beverly - would you guys consider adding this PowerBook to be strictly ON TOPIC for this list in the list description on LEM?
Peace, Drew
