Hello all my itch to tweak another older mac needed
scratching the other day so now I've got a 3400/180
with 144 megs of RAM and a 6 gig hard drive coming in
soon.

I've been googling about what possible tweaks there
are for 3400's out there. It seems that some people
say that cardbus is supported just that most of the
cards don't fit without shaving or doing a $99 chassis
upgrade through MCE I think thats who it was.. I'd
just like to confirm that before I start ebaying
around for a usb card.

Also it appears that Xpostfacto will install 10.1 on a
3400. Was thinking about partitioning the 6 gig into
a 1 gig with 8.6 running and a 5 gig partition with
9.2.2 using os9helper and 10.1.5 using xpostfacto.
Anyone out there tried this with a 3400?

Lets see I've still got original install disks for
7.6.1, 8(8.1), 8.5(8.6), 9, 9.2.1, 10.1, 10.2 and
10.3. Any suggestions to what would work best with
this machine or should I just experiment?

I know I should have bought a Wallstreet at least if I
intended on putting X on there but I didn't want to
skip the 3400. I've had a Powerbook 5300c/100 and a
Powerbook 1400cs/133 this seemed like the next logical
step. I have new machines at work but I like to fiddle
with the older macs at home to further my mac
experience.

Thanks in advance....
