My wife is starting to get frustrated w/ my PB 5300cs (she's using it primarily as a desktop replacement). It's generally too slow for her, and she hates the keyboard (although an ext kb & mouse solved that part of the prob).
My main mac is a slightly juiced-up g3/233 (320Megs RAM, 20 Gig HD, CDRW, Zip, USB card, OS9.2.2). It does the job-- at the moment I see no need to go beyond those specs in a 2nd machine (at least not *too* much). At the same time, once I'm upgrading, I figure I should aim for a Wallstreet II or better-- even an orig iBook should suit my purpose. So what's it gonna be? Anybody out there have a "favorite" G3 PB/iB? Any models I should stay away from? TIA, Katzy ps-- price/performance ratio will prob figure big in the decision (she doesn't really want a new computer... she just wants to use *MY* computer all the time... which is why I set her up w/ the 5300 in the first place...) -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
