HEy gang...

I just installed OS 7.6.1 on a new HD in my daughter's 280c; as it tries to
do the 1st desktop rebuild (when the desktop pattern appears after starting up
the Extensions & Control Panels), it keeps crashing with a "Finder Error."

What happens is that the rebuild just gets started, and all of a sudden the
Control Strip Appears, and some of the Startup Items start launching. Then I
get the "Finder Error" message...

What is going on? I already tried to trash the Finder Prefs, but it did no
good. Do I need to replace the finder?

Thanks in advance,

Craig W.
