I just transplanted the PMU chip from a 5300 to my 180 Mhz 3400c board (exact same chip). Unfortunately it still has the same symptoms; the unit will bong, get the the question mark disk, with the cursor stuck in the upper left corner. No ADB function, nor does the trackpad. The HD spins up at boot, and stays running, but it doesnt get any further.
I tried resetting the PMU and zapping the PRAM, but to no avail. Its possible that the PMU I transplanted got damaged, but the soldering job wasnt too hard.
Any ideas ?
