also a few things on the Apple and Acer saga from last year.
Just got a lombard again a couple of months back, and being one for taking bits apart and being curious. i have checked and same results as last year the keyboard and modem also the trackpad cables and a few other cables inside my new (to me) lombard are Texas instruments. ie: Acer.
also the keyboard from a UK version of a 355 travel mate note book (Acer)
when connected up to my 1400 works fine.
still testing some other bits.
