Well I guess I should have asked on this list first, before I gave up on mine. I just called the HP authorized repair place where I had left it, and they said it was long gone, since I had told them I did not want to do the repair and they could dispose of it. I must say, though, that I LOVE my new HP1012 printer. It is extremely quiet and much faster than the 4ML. It also has more memory, but it is not Postscript. However, with Panther this is not a problem, because I understand that it can print Postscript to non-postscript printers. 12 years ago the 4ML cost me $900 on sale. The new one only cost me $150 on sale and in comparing the price of toner cartridges and the estimated print life, the cost per page seems to be about the same.Whether or not it will last as long remains to be seen. Also, it's only USB, whereas the 4ML was Mac serial and PC Parallel.
