Of course they are perfectly normal.

If it actually lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, I would describe it as
unbelievable.  In fact, I don't believe it.  The Battery Time Remaining on
the classic Mac OS is notorious for grossly overestimating the actual
battery life of older batteries.  It probably died out much sooner than
that.

One may have been heavily used, the other not.  I don't think they're as far
apart as you suspect.  Actually run the PowerBook (and use it) on battery
for as long as that battery lasts.  I bet its less than an hour.  I wouldn't
be surprised if it was under a half hour.
