Hi Mad Dog

been following the thread for a while and even though i have not had these
symptoms on a powerbook i have on a G3 266 desktop i had.

after trying everything to get it going again as a last resort i replaced
the cpu and it worked. I know that the cpu on the 3400 is soldered to the
board but i think that might be your problem. (a burnt out cpu)

vicki

The fact that it boots leads me to think the CPU is ok, and the problem is the supporting ICs, or maybe the ROMs. I can always try a ROM swap when I get really desperate.
