The only way a Kanga could possibly be faster than a Wallstreet with a
G3/500 installed would be if the Wallstreet's L2 cache was somehow being
disabled. A G3 with a disabled cache is no faster than a 603e processor.

The Ws is a 500 MHz bluechip 1MB L2 with 384 MB RAM, the Kanga is a 190 MB RAM.

These are some tests:

Application WS 1st/2nd launch Kanga 1st/2nd launch
Word 2001 7/3 8/3
Excel 2001 5/2 5/3
PowerPoint 2001 5/3 6/4

A basic user cannot tell the difference. Pretty interesting.
