Appologies - this wasn't supposed to be a reply to the Hard Drive thread...
Suggestions please... A friend of mine had a porblem with his 1400cs. It started out complaining the battery was flat when it wasn't, then it got tot the stage where it was not accepting power from the PSU at all, ran the battery flat and died. He metered the main board and the power cnnector is physically OK. He replaced the PSU with a known good unit and it still is getting no power. I suspect the Power Manager Unit or (if the 1400 has one) the sub-board with the battery charging circuit on. I think he may have replaced the CPU module with a faster 603 one, and upgradsed the RAM, but that aside I don't think he's done anything nasty apart from using it... Any ideas? I'm not at all afiliar with this model.
