I'm using a PlatinumPro card on my 5300. All I need do is hook a network cable from the dongle to the DSL modem, right?

I suppose I could lug it to the nearest coffee shop with internet access and try it there...

I use my 5300 with a DSL line - don't expect a huge amount of speed
increase since you're still working with a relatively slow processor. I
use the Sony Vaio in the house when I need to do something that requires a
bit of speed. And since my 5300 is the newest Mac I own, I'm afraid I
wouldn't have a clue about the G4, but I suspect you'd find it fast enough
to use.

Do you have an ethernet option for your 5300, like a PlatinumPro card?

Later.................Howard
