I have in fact, TWO, both of which have been rebuilt (all new cells), and neither of which I can spare. The unleashed working time of these things is usually about an hour, even with rebuilt batteries. ugh.

I never had a separate charger, and have always just charged them in the PB. Often while on the road, using my Car Power adaptor. One really nice thing about these puppies is that they only require a 6-7.5VDC supply, which is easy to rig from a higher voltage, even at the current required.

My extant 500-series required 19VDC, which would be a pain to derive from a 12V source.

Your battery is almost certainly fried ( that is, the cells in them exhausted ). As soon as I can post my tutorial on Rebuilding a 100-series battery to Grijan's FTP site, you can DL it and rebuild a couple for yourself, better than new! I'll also be posting my schematics and instrutions for building a nice heavily-filtered PB1xx supply for use from car or boat power ( which is normally very 'dirty', full of spikes, transients and noise. My supply provides a solid 3A of power at 7.5VDC, and will charge my PB145 fully in about an hour) .

Meantime, try to get your hands on a couple of batteries dead or alive.

Do these batteries charge while in the PB, or do you need
a separate charger?
