I purchased a new battery for my Powerbook 145B from www.batteryvalues.com last October after a lot of web surfing, and have been very impressed with the performance of the Ni-Mh compared to the Ni Cad originals. I was lucky to get 2 hours before, but now get up to 4 hours word processing with screen on lowest setting, and even more if I am in bright daylight and turn the screen light off. The Battery details are "Hi-Capacity" brand part no. B-589, 6V, 4000mAh.
BTW I still use WriteNow V4.0 on my 145 which I love - does all I need very efficiently and elegantly in comparison to the W*rd options!
