I too had problems getting the Lucent/Orinoco card working on my PowerBook
1400. That problem turned out to be due to the previous install of software
for a PCMCIA ethernet card.

I have attached a copy of a wireless FAQ (sent offline) I am working on.
Its not finished, but gives you some links for drivers earler that v6, and
covers the problem with the previous install of ethernet drivers.

The soulution was to Clean Install a new OS, then install the drivers for
the card.

I am not using the Lucent card on my PB1400, as its in use on my
Wallstreet. I currentely use the Proxim Skyline (473a) wireless card as its
more compact.
