Can anyone give their opinion on the tangible speed difference between a 3400/180 and its faster cousins, the 3400/200 and 240? In other words, can you really tell a difference?
In 1996/7 probably yes, nowadays if it happens to you to use also a faster Mac the answer is no.
I passed on to my wife my Wallstreet with the bluechip G3 500 MHz, so she could upgrade from the kanga (G3 250) to this WS.
Well... all she noticed (she uses Word, Eudora, PowerPoint, Acrobat) is the bigger screen: she really cannot tell any other difference.
Personally I find that Excel and StatView 5 run at the same pace in the Kanga and the WS.
I have a 5300ce (117 MHz) and a 5300c (100 MHz): IMHO they are the same thing. If then you use the Microsoft applications.. well I really cannot tell the difference between a 190 and a 5300....
