I wanted to download the pictures from the Apple QuickTake 200 to the 5300 and the 190 and avoit the CameraConnect nightmare.

This Microtech SmartMedia PC card adapter does not work.

The 5300 says that the card is defective.

Since the SmartMedia works flawlessly with the QuickTake is it possible that the Adapter is broken (it was brand new and boxed).

I tried also with a Kanga, a Wallstreet and a G4 Aluminium: the G3 stuck and say unreadable the G4 simply ignores it.

5300 OS 9, Kanga OS 9, 190 8.1.

The Apple QT used 5 volts SmartMedia. Do you think it is worth trying a 3.3 volts card?

Other ideas?

Ben
