A lot of people are saying Ebay works with Netscape 7, iCab or IE 5 and OS 9.2.2 etc. When you say it works I hope you have tried "uploading a picture" to Ebay or making a payment in Paypal. These are javascripts, that (as of the last time I tried it, the first week of last August) DO NOT work.
Other functions fail too. iCab, for example, simply cannot handle the Seller's start-an-auction form if you select certain large categories. Form handling bug.
Does the picture upload work from Moz 1.3.1?
An Ebay listing without a picture is pretty useless. Sure I can set up an outside account and host my own pictures, but that entails more steps that Ebay has provisions for.
Say what? Uploading your pictures to a server is trivial. Then you just give eBay the url for the picture. That's how it's worked since day one! This new fangled eBay picture hosting ...heh.
The same goes for Paypal. I was loading the first page fine, but when I tried to make payments etc. Netscape 7 was crapping out again.
So if Ebay and Paypal have fixed these problems than I apologize but if they haven't I wouldn't say they render these sites fine with OS 9.2.2
PayPal works fine from iCab, for me. (JavaScript on, browser and javascript identity set to iCab - iow, NOT spoofing). Is there a specific function that doesn't work in iCab on Paypal for you?
PayPal works fine from WaMCom Mozilla 1.3.1 too. It should be noted that Netscape 7.02, the last vers of Netscape to work on OS 9, is based on Moz 1.0.2. It is OLDER than Moz 1.3.1.
