I have 5300 with a i90 color screen, 32 meg of ram, 500 meg hard drive, video adapter, scsi adapter, Ethernet/modem card.
I will be using it for general educational purposes including wp. Ss and internet browsing and email' I have ram doubler 9 and speed doubler 8 and 8.1 installed Are 7.6. 8.5, 8.6, better? Why or why not? What software and utilities should I try to get and load? What is a real life expectation of life on a good nimh batter for this unit? What bout wireless and usb2 adapters? Any thing else I should know or do? I also have another color 5300 with 24 meg and a 190 with 24 meg same questions. I'm not expecting everyone to answer everything; jump in where you want.
