Mozilla, the Wamcom version is the best for me since it works with gmail and with webmessenger, which I doubt anyone here uses but it works for me. Icab, at least the version I use if fast certainly but coughs when trying to load certain web pages, probably the newer versions of html. As for email, I wouldn't use anything except hotmail and gmail. There's no sense in using anything else except a browser for email, from my point of view. Lots of storage room with the web mail accounts, heck even hotmail is now up to 250 megs. Gmail is a gig and has all kinds of features that are pretty cool. Both scan attachments and both are fast and stable. I made a mistake getting all of the lowend.mac lists sent to my isp's address because now I get several lottery winning announcements as well as untold hundreds of Ni*erian offers of millions of bucks from unclaimed whatzits. An email app, to me, is just a window into your computer. And that window can't be completely closed to everyone.
To get older browsers for 9.1 takes some time and some searching but there are places that store old versions. But the Wamcom Mozilla is pretty complete from what I've seen. bm -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
