I'll buy that ... but consider that the issues with respect to Cardbus 
compatibility are pretty consistent across the 2400, 3400, 3500 (Kanga) 
and "G3 Series" (WS-I/WS-II): same obsolete TI "bridge" chip on the 
motherboard, which is often incompatible with later VIA-based (and other) 
Cardbus cards, which don't use the TI Cardbus interface chip, but rather 
use their own implementation of that TI chip. (Older Cardbus cards, which 
do use the TI Cardbus interface chip, seem to have fewer issues with all 
of these machines).
