I have taken apart all Apple PowerBook, from the 100 series (my 180c probably more than 100 times) to the Wallstreet/Lombard/Pismos including iBooks. The 190 has become a 190cs, then a 5300c and finally a 5300ce: from a close exam you cannot really tell it has been taken apart probably once a week in the last year!

If you play in a clean environment and try to concentrate on your hobby (or work) it is almost impossible to tell if a given PowerBook has been taken apart.

This is not true for the Titanium and the Aluminium.

Their cases bend too easily.

Okay, computers, especially PowerBooks, are not built to be taken apart but I think Apple should consider this.

Not to mention that while I can put my iBook G4 straight into the Jansport back pack, the Aluminium requires the Radthech folder a neoprene case ***and*** the specific laptop backpack.

I now need a 17" PowerBook and I whish Apple made a 17" iBook.

I would appreciate to hear your opinion on this topic.

Ben
