Hello,
I recommend Icab. It works fairly well, although it does not every page properly. It is relatively quick, requires very little RAM, and I use it successfully on a 1400, and a 3500. You may want to also take a look at wannabe (sp?), a text only browser. It certainly has limitations, but it is an option when resources are limited.
