I checked the box when I got home last nite. the VST 5000 series charger that I have specifically states NiMH batteries on the back, doesn't mention the Li-On ones. I do't know if this means they wouldn't charge them, but with what I've read about the Li-On's catching fire I've stayed away from them when I've bought replacements. (the 5000 charger does need the 5300 power supply to work, BTW)

I can't find where I put the (very thin) instruction booklet to see if they mention Li-On in there.
