The upper portion of the hinge screws into plastic mounts in the lid housing. There realy is no "pretty" fix. However, what I did was to drill a hole all the way through the lid (the same diameter as the hole in the hinge). Then I bought screws of that diameter. The head is on the outside of the lid and the nut gets covered by the plastic strip holding the microphone. Not very pretty (once painted is difficult to locate but not quite "factory" condition). However, it realy beefs this up quite a bit...

The other problem is usually with the lower part of the hinge. It enters an aluminum housing. The screw can back out, causing hinge wobble. I tightened mine up and added a little locktite to keep it from backing out...

I made a similar fix to a PB 180. The lower case housing has sunken holes for the screws. The bottom of it had broken so there was no where for the screw to press against. I got a large thin washer and counter sunk the hole. Then I put a long countersunk screw through the washer, through the lower housing and into the threaded insert in the upper housing. It is thin enough to clear a desktop because of the feet. It isn't pretty either but it's on the bottom so it's easy to forget it's there.
