John: I agree with Yersinia: First get comfortable with 7.5.3/7.5.5 and see if you need an upgrade at all. Dealing with these 'legacy' powerbooks (terrible name, by the way) you admit in advance that you don't care to be 'fully up to date'. (Those guys with Panther live in the illusion that they are up to date, but in fact, they are always behind, too.)

For easy networking, you still need some little upgrade, though: Open Transport 1.1.1
Before installing this version, you first have to activate Open Transport 1.1, which has probably been installed with 7.5.3.


Can someone tell me what's the difference between 7.5.3 and 7.5.5? I mean in terms of: why upgrade? Maybe OT 1.1.1 is included there?
