Hello all.

I have a friend with a stock 1400/117mhz who goes on line all the time with
wireless.

The best speed improvement in this case, was using iCab with the images
option turned off.

No speed demon, but plenty fast for him.

He is running OS 8.1 with 48 megs of ram. Skyline wireless card.

As for Ethernet card and wireless, they wont coexist at the same time on a
PB 1400. Your Ethernet will be limited to 10mb. A good choice would be one
of the Farallon cards.

See my Wireless FAQ for more info on a work around, and links to Farallon
Software.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for the information, encouragement, and the link to your WIFI site.

My 1400 has a 250 MHz G3 in it. It is in great shape and just too nice not to do anything with it.
I'm going to give it a try.

If it doesn't work out, I'll wait for the rumored new small powerbook that is supposed to be coming out.

Take care.
