>Running X can be tricky. While you can run 10.2.X with no trouble,
getting 10.3.X or 10.4.X requires X Post Facto to install those OS
versions. I am struggling with getting 10.3 to install on my
Wallstreet.

10.3 runs perfectly on a WS I or II, using Xpostfacto as a bootstrap.

The installation is a little counter-intuitive, but it does go on, and
Panther (10.3.9 ?) has been rock solid.

I can get 10.3 to install, but I have the Purple Panther Problem. Do you have a purple tinted screen ? I tried the patched RagePro driver, but that is no help. I tried replacing the ATIRagePro.kext with the same file from 10.2.5, but the machine gets no video out.

You cannot do the install from the Panther CD-ROM, rather you must boot
into 9 (9.2.2 is best), then download Xpostfacto, then launch Xpostfacto,
then select "Install from CD", and then the process will begin.

The install goes pretty well, but the purple tint is odd. Do you have a WS1 or 2 ?

thanks,

Mad Dog
