I think that any mac is better than no mac. and if she does not have a computer then when you give it to her then she will be pleased.

for the cards I would go with the Orinoco card for wifi and for the cpu card try and find a 300 wallstreet cpu card, Should give the best use, hard drive any size over stock is good and the bigger the better. i have a spare 64mb ram chip you could stick in the lower slot if you want it then get a 256 for the top and that should be fine.

i also have a set of 10.2 install upgrade disk's that you could have originals but you would need to find a copy of 10.1 to install it over first.
