Hello,

I have a Powerbook 520c that I retrieved and repaired, It used to
network fine using 7.5.5 with my G% using Panther, but now I get the
dreaded APF error. Has anyone found a way to get the networking going
again?

That's AFP, Apple Filing Protocol.

Because Apple stated on their website that using 8.1 will work, I have
my order placed. (Thank god for E-Bay) But did anyone find a solution?

Go to the Apple Web site, in the older download area there is an AppleShare update, 3.6.something or 3.8.something I believe. It will let you access ASIP (Appleshare IP).
