Hi All!

I asked this question a few days ago but phrased it rather badly---

Im looking at used PBS at places like Baucom and Wegener....whats surprising
me is that the price for Pismos and titaniums are about the same, despite
the much greater speed of Titaniums (not to mention screen size).

Ive been rather out of touch with the Mac world (spent some time on the dark
side) and I wonder if Id be making a mistake buying the titanium. There must
be a reason the Pismos/Lombards hold their value so well...are they that
much better built?

One of the reasons I abandoned the Mac PB line was because all six of my PBs
developed AC connector wobble. I resoldered many of these (lets see--a
PB190, a 5300, and a 3400) myself...but I got sick of that and decided mac
was not really standing behind their products, and bailed. Im rough on my
powerbooks, so I went of a Panasonic Toughbook running Linux.

But I really want to run OSX so, I'd like to dive back in to macs! Would it
be a mistake to buy a titanium?

regards!

jim
