My 2 cents?
The Pismo is more readily adaptable.
By this I mean that even a clot with the mechanical skills of a turtle with a screwdriver (i.e. me...) can upgrade and reconfigure it rather easily. The TiBooks, on the other hand usually need a more skilled touch, and upgrade parts are fewer and more expensive.

Actually, having worked on both, the TiBook is just as easy to work on. Replacing HDD's or optical drives and adding memory is just as easy.

You have to be more careful with the titanium back, as it's easy to bend, but it's just a matter of not being totally ham-handed.

OK, the TiBook is newer, shinier and have a faster processor, and you think that would mean more price-wise, but it seems to me that in computing, utility wins the day.

There really isn't any greater utility

It's a Chevy/Jaguar thing.
Get an old Chevy to fix up, and parts seemingly fall from the sky.
Get a Jag for the same reason, and you'd better have a parts good source and deep pockets.

Hardly. Parts are as readily available for the TiBooks as for Pismos.

and Apple made MORE titanium powerbooks than they did Pismos...it's just fewer of those have fallen over into the 'usable for parts only' category.
