Erm tried the holding down of the power button, did nothing for me..no
beep thats for sure.
And surely the rom image, needs to be copied from the bios chip on the
laptop on the the HDD, not the other way round.
Just a thought...btw this is a 333mhz Lombard..

Hold down the Power ON key until the PB beeps at you, then continue
holding. It will shortly go into its booting sequence.
These are "New World" machines, and the ROM image contained on the hard
drive must first be copied into the FLASH chip on the motherboard.
