My PowerBook has System 7.5.5 installed. Yesterday I used the 7.5.3
custom uninstall to remove Apple CD Audio Player. I've uninstalled
individual components before with no trouble, but this time was
different. I clicked quit to exit the installer when it was done, and
it sat for a few minutes, and then I got a system error (type 25,
whatever that is). I clicked restart, and then the computer restarted.
Now whenever I start it up I get the happy Mac for less than a second,
the screen blinks, and then I get the disk with an ? on it. Why does
it find System Software at first and then it can't? If possible, can
anyone send me images of the original system disks that came with it?
And, is there anything I can do myself without downloading anything?
Thanks!
